Piano Lessons 

I have been teaching students of all levels, styles, and ages (presently, I have students aged 3-93!!) in the Seattle area for 35 years. I believe every student has different interests and abilities to reach their own goals that satisfy those interests. It is not my goal to teach a student in a way that tests the limits of their interest but rather to inspire them to get better and enjoy the whole experience. In my experience, this careful and personal customization creates a player with longevity and a greater sense of fulfillment. 

Typically, lessons are either half an hour or 1 hour per week. However, in some situations, students request more than one lesson per week. I teach Monday through Saturday in one of two studios. Once I evaluate the prospective student via a phone interview, we start with one paid lesson where the student can evaluate my style of teaching and discuss my policies, and a schedule is then created that works for both of us. Based on the student’s interest, skill level, age, and general goals they would like to accomplish, I will then get the music books needed, and the fun begins from there!!

Based on the student’s interest, skill level, age, and general goals they would like to accomplish, I will then select and acquire the music books needed, and the fun begins from there!!
